Affordable Flights to Vodice: Our Tips for Booking Cheap Flights

Everyone is looking for cheap flights to croatia. One of the most common questions: How to get to Vodice cheaply?

The nearest airports to Vodice are Zadar Airport and Split Airport. Both are about 50 minutes by car to Vodice, with Zadar being a few minutes closer. You’ll take the motorway (small toll fee applies), followed by a 15-minute drive through local roads directly to your private parking space at our accommodation in Vodice!

We recommend using Skyscanner (affiliate link) for flight comparisons. We’ve used Skyscanner ourselves for all our trips and found great deals! Here are our actual experiences with flights from Hamburg to Croatia and back. (prices per person, hand luggage only):

  • May 2025: Hamburg to Zadar with Ryanair – approx. € 30
  • March 2025: Hamburg to Split with Eurowings – approx. € 100
  • September 2024: Hamburg to Zadar with Eurowings, return with Ryanair – approx. € 60
  • June 2024: Hamburg to Zadar with Ryanair – approx. € 110

Pro Tip: Check flights to both Zadar and Split. You can mix and match: fly into one and out from the other! Car rental companies allow pickup and drop-off at different airports if you specify during booking.

Affordable Car Rentals in Croatia: Our Real Experiences

No matter if you arrive in Split or Zadar, you’ll want a rental car to explore the beautiful Dalmatian coast and reach Vodice comfortably.

For Germany, Austria, and Switzerland we recommend using Check24 (affiliate link). It’s user-friendly and often has the best deals. Other great platforms include MietwagenCheck and Billiger-Mietwagen.

For UK, EU-wide, and international travelers, use Rentalcars (affiliate link) and DiscoverCars. For Poland, Kayak Cars is also popular, though Rentalcars and DiscoverCars work well too.

Important Tip: Always select full insurance coverage with no deductible! Here’s what we always book:

  • Full coverage: accident and theft protection
  • No deductible (via refund option)
  • Extra cover: glass, tires, underbody, roof
  • Fuel policy: full-to-full
  • Unlimited mileage

And: you will need a credit card for the deposit (debit cards don’t work!). We actually got ours easily via Check24 (affiliate link), with no extra fees.
